Difficult Conversations Made Easy

Book Ken

Certainly, when you step into a leadership role, you can’t dodge difficult conversations.

But, we all need to have difficult conversations at times …

  • Sorting out difficulties with colleagues and clients
  • Giving feedback to a team member about their performance
  • Resolving frustrations with our supervisor

But many of us are reluctant to start a potentially difficult conversation. Some of us might think, ‘What’s the point? Nothing I say will make a difference’. Perhaps we worry about making things worse.

Or we might be among those people who are happy to tackle an issue directly, but it doesn’t always always achieve the outcomes we want.

In this positive and practical program, you will learn how to:

  1. Handle difficult conversations in a more confident and positive way
  2. Increase people’s receptiveness to hearing what you have to say
  3. Build trust and goodwill when there has been a difficult history
  4. Respond helpfully to upset and demanding behaviour when it occurs
  5. Sort difficulties out before they become major concerns
  6. More effectively influence the change you want to see
  7. Preserve relationships and achieve better outcomes
